Alright! Finally I have to some new work to show :) What will it amount to? Who knows...but we'll see where it leads right :)

First of all, the images that I found consist of found images from either the artist websites or from random sites & magazine clippings, but once I found the photos, they were dissected, cut up, re-shaped, colored, etc.

They were completely ripped apart from their original form.



The paintings and the direction for the pieces are all my own...I was definitely driven from the expression and the posing of the portraits that I found... Over all, most of my art is heavily influenced from music (music ranging from different genres)...so it seemed fitting for me to do a mixed media series on my fav female musicians :) I am also heavily driven by color...so if the color seem to strong or visually displeasing or too striking for u...I apologize...That's how I visually translate this days...I am heavily influenced by graffiti so that should answer that...

Wikipedia, defines contemporary art as simply art produced in the present and may be of any genre or movement or style.

blah...I don't know what my work is...or how to define it...or even what to call it...it just is...and i'm addicted...

Time and time again...its hard to do homework on fridays, on the weekends period...but this book must be done :) it must be...so must my typeface ;) Hungry for Peace...Sarah Soloman fasted for 5 days, against the war in iraq! I think that's so much more important than a typeface design :) blah :) Jt, wants to have a nice chill night :) She actually wants to see a real movie...and eat real food, and see her family...hug her father, kiss her mom, rub her sister's belly :) get her nose re pierced, get a tattoo...see a good band :), make more money, get her hair highlighted :), writ e a check to her church, win a design contest :) hopefully get more than one piece in the senior show :) travel to london, get a brand new car, pass a math class, graduate from college, apply and get into grad school, make new friends, salvage old ones :) GO BACK TO NEW ORLEANS...SAVE THE WORLD! LOVE AND LET LIVE :)
 
 
times are getting short and i haven't been home for nearly 4 weeks, again again again again...jt is sleepy and should be doing homework instead of slackin :)

Rachel is amazing, so witty, i love her :) But she's actually going to see spiderman again, and I don't know how i feel about it :)

So yes...I am obsessed with this photo...I found a photo of Erykah Badu and digitally collaged it with one of my original paintings...This piece was actually apart of UMBC's Artweek 2007 exhibition :)

Work Work Work,

I suppose that school work makes us stronger! And in the long run, when I'm 50, I'll be wishing for these days...So I guess I need to become motivated to finish this paper on the amazing Jackson Pollack...

Yes...that's right...my face is peeling...and yes...my daily facial moisturizer is spf 15...does anyone have a remedy? 

3:59 AM to be exact...

Listening to some new Tracey Thorn, some Vega4 and some very awesome Rogue Wave...great music makes me want to drop out of school and sing until my heart gives out...so yeah...i want to go to London after I graduate...but first, STUFF here must be sorted out..hmmm.....life...it's going way too fast...soon I won't have a home anymore :( what else then?? my parents are retiring by the summer...hands up to the ceiling...
